I jokingly call our household the Hot Mess Express: a minivan that’s often late, laundry that needs folding, and a calendar full of appointments, practices and treatments. Amid that chaos, the Skylight Calendar 2 has become my sanity saver. Having a digital calendar my husband and I can access from anywhere, plus a display everyone at home can see, has made coordinating rides, events and chores much simpler.

The device features a large 15-inch display that’s thinner and faster than the previous model. Curved corners soften its look and a magnetic frame lets you swap finishes—black, white or wood—to match your decor. A widget on my iPhone keeps the day’s events visible even when I’m out of the house.

Navigation is straightforward, with a left-side menu that opens Calendar, Lists, Tasks, Rewards, Meals, Recipes, Photos and Settings. You can create profiles for each person and a shared Family profile for birthdays and major events. When I add an appointment I tag the child and the adult who will drive them.
