Sloane Stephens and Jozy Altidore to divorce after four years of marriage

Sloane Stephens and Jozy Altidore have filed for divorce in Florida. Stephens, 32, and Altidore, 36, were married on Jan. 1, 2022, at the St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort in Miami Beach.

The pair, who first met as middle schoolers at Boca Prep and announced their engagement in April 2019, are both Olympians. Multiple insiders describe the split as amicable.

Stephens confirmed the separation on Instagram, writing, “Jozy and I have decided to end our marriage. With peace, I am navigating this transition with mutual respect and kindly ask for privacy during this time. Thank you for your love, understanding and continued support.” Reps for the couple did not comment.

Stephens has been mounting a comeback after a 2025 injury; she played in the Australian Open in January and is scheduled for the WTA 500 in Merida this month. Altidore has invested in an Oklahoma City soccer team alongside Russell Westbrook and others.
