Slow West, the 84-minute Western, streams free on Pluto TV

Slow West, the 84-minute Western released in 2014, is streaming for free in the United States on Pluto TV. The film stars Kodi Smit-McPhee alongside Michael Fassbender and Ben Mendelsohn.

John Maclean made his directorial debut with Slow West. Smit-McPhee plays a young Scotsman who travels to America in search of his long-lost love and is joined by Fassbender as an Irish bounty hunter.

The movie grossed just over $1 million at the box office but earned excellent reviews. It holds a 92% "Certified Fresh" score on Rotten Tomatoes, where the critics' consensus reads, "Slow West serves as an impressive calling card for first-time writer-director John Maclean — and offers an inventive treat for fans of the Western."

Maclean released his second feature, Tornado, last year. Fassbender and Smit-McPhee have also worked together in the X-Men films.
