Lost relics in Pokémon Pokopia come in two sizes — small and large — and are primarily decorative. Professor Tangrowth can appraise relics you dig up, and you can donate them to Gimmighoul in the Rocky Ridges museum in exchange for random furniture. Large relics serve as furnishing items you can place around your island, while small relics are used as wall decor.

Dig relics by using Rock Smash on blocks that glow with light; these shiny spots can yield mysterious slates, fossils, CDs, and dolls for Drifloon, among other finds. It’s easier to spot the glowing patches at night, since yellow light can be hard to see on yellow terrain like Bleak Beach during the day.

Feeding Mosslax sweet foods (like Pecha Berries) will boost your chances of finding artifacts, and you’ll need to complete more requests in Bleak Beach to unlock Mosslax. After excavating a relic, hand it to Professor Tangrowth to appraise — using the PC in your Palette Town area speeds up appraisals by skipping the handing-over animation.
