SNL returns January 17 with Finn Wolfhard hosting and A$AP Rocky
Nbc reports Saturday Night Live returns from its winter hiatus tonight, with Finn Wolfhard hosting the January 17 episode and A$AP Rocky as the musical guest.
The previous new episode aired December 20 with host Ariana Grande and musical guest Cher. Wolfhard, who just wrapped five seasons and 10 years playing Mike Wheeler on Stranger Things, released his first solo album Happy Birthday in June 2025 and recently directed the 50th anniversary music video for George Harrison's "Give Me Love"; this is his SNL debut and he is the first host of 2026. A$AP Rocky is also making his SNL debut as musical guest just one day after releasing his new album Don't Be Dumb, his first since 2018, which features music from Danny Elfman and album art from Tim Burton; the music video for the single "Punk Rocky" features Winona Ryder.
The January 24 episode will be hosted by Teyana Taylor, who recently won a Golden Globe for her role in One Battle After Another, with rock band Geese, fronted by Cameron Winter, as the musical guest; both will be first-timers on the show. The following week Alexander Skarsgård will host the 1000th show with returning musical guest Cardi B.
Saturday Night Live airs Saturdays at 11:30/10:30c and next day on Peacock. Sketches from every episode of SNL are available to stream on Peacock.
