Over a decade after its release, Bong Joon‑ho’s Snowpiercer has reemerged as a surprise streaming hit on Tubi, where the film is available to watch for free. The movie helped define modern dystopian storytelling with its icy, high‑concept premise. Loosely adapted from the French graphic novel Le Transperceneige, Snowpiercer imagines an attempt to reverse climate change that instead plunges the world into a new ice age, leaving the last humans to survive aboard a train that endlessly circles the frozen planet.

Seventeen years into the journey, society aboard the train is fraying and sharply divided by class. Chris Evans leads a rebellion as Curtis—a notably unexpected role for an actor then best known as Captain America—joined by Tilda Swinton as the smug Minister Mason, Ed Harris as the enigmatic Wilford, and strong supporting work from Song Kang‑ho, Octavia Spencer, Jamie Bell and John Hurt.
