Solasta 2 will add a D&D 5E rule Baldur's Gate 3 dropped
Solasta: Crown of the Magister took a more combat-focused approach to Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition than Baldur's Gate 3 and included tactical options such as the Dodge action, which gives attacks against you disadvantage and grants advantage on Dexterity saving throws.
Solasta 2 is introducing single-target leveled spells as a readyable option. The developers offer examples of how that can be useful: prepare a Cure Wounds and have a wounded ally run to you, cast Hideous Laughter to drop a berserker as he rushes past a door, or punish a crossbowman who pops in and out of cover with a Guiding Bolt.
Ready actions can only be set up during combat rather than as part of an elaborate pre-combat ambush.
