Solos has released the AirGo A5 smart glasses, which start at $249 and omit cameras in favour of a ChatGPT-powered voice assistant and open‑ear speakers, the company and ZDNET report. The company advertises 10 hours of music streaming or seven hours of phone calls, and ZDNET's reviewer said the glasses lasted about two days on a single charge in regular use, dropping roughly 30% in 24 hours — a figure the company aligns with for standby use when connected to a smartphone.

Solos positions the A5 as a lightweight, comfortable option aimed more at AI enthusiasts than content creators. Audio is delivered via open‑ear drivers with no noise cancellation, which the review calls serviceable but thin at high volume and prone to audio leakage; microphones made the reviewer audible on calls but offered poorer quality than Meta Ray‑Bans.

Design notes include a lighter frame without a camera, bendable end tips for a secure fit, removable legs that can be swapped for camera‑equipped frames, and multiple styles including a $349 titanium option. The reviewer also criticised a highly visible LED notification light that can be repositioned to the hinge but not fully disabled.

ZDNET said the ChatGPT assistant is available but was rarely used by the reviewer, who also reported wake‑word reliability issues in noisy environments; the SolosCoach app provides posture, stretching and step‑tracking features.
