Someone Cheated To Find The Solution To Resident Evil Requiem’s ‘Unsolvable’ Puzzle

Resident Evil Requiem has a “Final Puzzle” players have been trying to solve since the game launched, and no one has confirmed all the steps Capcom intended. Still, datamining and brute force have let some players complete it. A Pokémon YouTuber, Gengar Collects, posted a video showing they earned the Final Puzzle achievement seemingly by accident.

The method involves acquiring Marie’s Doll by filling the meat-packing area with zombie bodies — you must wait there for 15 minutes as bodies drop into a vat — then flushing a toilet eight times; the doll appears in a segment after Grace escapes Rhodes Hill Care Center.

Putting the doll in your storage box makes it available in New Game+. On a new playthrough you bring the doll and Emily, a blind girl from the care center, to a locked safe in the lead researcher’s office and enter a code found by actually solving the puzzle. After that you hear a child laughing and the challenge registers as completed.
