Space Marine 2 voice pack refunded and made free

Just under a month ago Saber Interactive released a free update for Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 alongside a $5 Chapter Voice Pack that promised about 450 new lines and new dialogue for several characters. The pack was sold as a standalone DLC rather than part of the season passes, and the free update also added a Techmarine class and a new co-op mission.

Players quickly raised complaints that the DLC failed to fully revoice characters, with new lines cutting out and characters reverting to their previous voices, and many claiming the pack mostly consisted of added grunts. The release earned an Overwhelmingly Negative rating on Steam, with only 16 percent of 672 current user ratings positive, and the pack only re-voiced three of the seven classes.
