The trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day gives a first look at Tom Holland's fourth Spider-Man film and threads the story into elements from Marvel television, most notably Daredevil: Born Again.

Jon Bernthal's Punisher appears, and a news clip shows Sheila Rivera handing Spider-Man a key to the city — Rivera was an advisor to Mayor Wilson Fisk in Born Again Season 1. Frank Castle is seen roaming New York in the footage; he is taken by Fisk's forces in the Season 1 finale, and a post-credits scene alludes to his escape. The second installment of Born Again is coming to Disney+ later this month.

The trailer also introduces the Hand, with Spider-Man fighting members of the organization that drove storylines in the original Daredevil series and The Defenders, marking the group's entry into the MCU.

That blending of TV and film elements contrasts with earlier Marvel shows that rarely affected the movies. Spider-Man: Brand New Day opens July 31, 2026, and is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton.
