Sony Pictures released the first trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day on Mar. 18, 2026, after a day of teasing clips. In 24 hours the preview drew 718.6 million views, the biggest trailer debut in film history. It surpassed Deadpool & Wolverine's 373 million mark—breaking that total within eight hours—and also outpaced Grand Theft Auto VI (475 million) and Spider-Man: No Way Home (355.5 million).

The warm response highlights both the enduring appeal of Spider-Man and Tom Holland's take on the character. Brand New Day arrives on the ten-year anniversary of Peter Parker's MCU debut in Captain America: Civil War and marks the first time audiences have seen Holland's Spider-Man in nearly five years since No Way Home.

Over 10 years and seven film appearances, Holland has had the longest, most sustained tenure as the character.
