Spielberg's Disclosure Day Gets New Super Bowl Trailer
Steven Spielberg’s influence on filmmaking stretches more than 50 years. He began in 1975 with Jaws, directed landmark science fiction like E.T., and helped build the Indiana Jones franchise; now, nearing 80, he continues to make new films. Spielberg’s next project was announced in 2024 and he spent 2024 and 2025 assembling a cast that includes Emily Blunt, Colman Domingo and Wyatt Russell.
Universal later revealed the title, Disclosure Day, and set a June 12 theatrical release. Marketing ramped up when Universal debuted a new trailer during the Super Bowl. The clips suggest a story about humanity learning of alien life for the first time, though plot specifics remain limited.
The screenplay was written by David Koepp, Spielberg’s longtime collaborator; the pair worked together on the original Jurassic Park. Koepp also returned to the franchise last year to write Jurassic World: Rebirth, and was credited on the spy thriller Black Bag, released at the start of 2025.
