Stardew Valley creator says one secret still lurks in the game

Barone told IGN that there is a secret in Pelican Town that no one has ever found and that he doubts anyone will.

He described it as a secret message embedded in the game that announces something he later changed, so the message is not even true anymore.

Barone said the reason it has gone undiscovered is that it cannot be uncovered by datamining; messages hidden in code are found, but one hidden in the art or visuals would have to be seen by players.

He added he might reveal it someday but hopes someone eventually finds the obscure message.
