Bethesda Game Studios announced Terran Armada, a new Starfield story expansion about an army of murderous robots. It will arrive on April 7 for all platforms — the same day Starfield launches on PlayStation 5 after more than two years as an Xbox console exclusive.

Terran Armada is the game's second major expansion, following 2024's Shattered Space, which sent players to the homeworld of House Va'ruun, a religious faction that worships the Great Serpent. Shattered Space drew criticism for its short length, tight focus on a single area, and its $30 price tag.

The new expansion isn't limited to one planet. Humans controlling an army of killer robots invade the Settled Systems in events Bethesda calls "incursions," and players must confront them. Terran Armada also adds new weapons, ships, characters, crew members and enemies.
