Stars recall a Penwood showdown cut from Bridgerton Season 4
Katie Leung and Isabella Wei said they pictured an explosive showdown between the Penwoods and the new Lady Penwood, Cressida, that never made it into Season 4 after Cressida’s takeover.
Leung framed Araminta’s obsession with Sophie as fear: the exposure of Sophie’s past could destroy Araminta’s reputation, and that threat keeps her constantly vigilant. She praised the writers for giving Araminta layers and noted how rare vulnerable moments with Posy reveal why the character behaves as she does.
Wei described Posy’s arc in Part 2 as a step toward independence. The character grows bolder, stands up to her mother, and embraces brighter, more adventurous costumes — "not always pink all the time" — while taking more physical action to defend Sophie.
Both actresses said they wished for a proper scene with Cressida, expecting the families to size each other up. "I think Rosamund and Cressida would have a really powerful bitch off," Wei said, adding, "Especially because she took their home."
