Stay Close is Harlan Coben’s top-rated Netflix series with a 92% Rotten Tomatoes score
Collider reports that Harlan Coben's highest-rated Netflix series is the 2021 drama Stay Close, which holds a 92% score on Rotten Tomatoes and is recommended as a follow-up for viewers finishing Run Away.
Adapted by Danny Brocklehurst, Stay Close opens with bride-to-be Megan Pierce (Cush Jumbo) finding a note addressed to "Cassie," which forces her to confront a past life as an exotic dancer at the Vixens club while she tries to protect her family as a suburban mother of three. The series also follows Ray (Richard Armitage), a former documentary photographer posing as a paparazzo, and Lorraine (Sarah Parish), an old acquaintance, as DS Michael Broome (James Nesbitt) leads an interconnected police investigation into a missing-person cold case; their stories converge when a man connected to their shared past disappears 17 years to the night from another mystery.
Coben and Netflix have partnered on 12 productions forming the Harlan Coben Collection, including Fool Me Once and the Michael C. Hall-starring 2018 series Safe, and Stay Close is described as his most successful Netflix collaboration to date. Run Away premiered on January 1, 2026 and is currently holding the #2 global chart spot behind Stranger Things, and Stay Close is presented as a top replacement for viewers seeking another twist-driven thriller.
