Stella and Severide say goodbye as foster son Isaiah moves to Cleveland
Nbc reports that in Season 14’s “Crime of Passion” episode of Chicago Fire, foster son Isaiah leaves Firehouse 51 to move to Cleveland, triggering a tense confrontation between Kelly Severide and Stella Kidd.
The departure followed news that Isaiah’s mother, Shawna, had woken from sedation and arranged for a longtime family friend, Lydia, to care for her son in Cleveland. Stella, who had been traveling back and forth to oversee Shawna’s care, learned from adoption representative Terry that no decision would be made until Isaiah met Lydia; the two quickly connected, and plans moved forward. Severide and Stella argued after Stella packed Isaiah’s bags and informed him of the transfer, with the pair clashing over communication and responsibilities while Severide was focused on an arson investigation.
The couple ultimately agreed it was best for Isaiah to be closer to his mother; Severide, late because of a successful arrest, arrived in time for a tearful farewell. Stella then returned to Firehouse 51, and Severide later came home to an empty apartment. The show airs Wednesdays at 9/8c and is available the next day on Peacock.
