Stellantis said it will revive the V‑8–powered Ram TRX, offering a 2027 Ram 1500 SRT TRX late in 2026 with a starting price of $99,995 and a mandatory $2,595 destination fee that brings the on‑the‑road price to $102,590. The TRX returns after a 2021–2024 run. It is powered by a supercharged 6.2‑liter Hellcat gas engine rated at 777 horsepower and 680 foot‑pounds of torque.

Stellantis calls it the "fastest and most powerful production gas pickup truck in the world," capable of 0–60 mph in 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 118 mph. Ram CEO Tim Kuniskis said the company "had to push it to the next level" and that they were "super happy about this one coming back." The TRX is expected to serve as a halo model that draws attention to the Ram brand despite historically modest sales at higher price points.

The TRX relaunch is part of a broader U.S. turnaround plan led by Kuniskis, who has outlined more than 25 expected announcements. Other recent moves include a return to NASCAR, reviving Hemi V‑8s with a new "Symbol of Protest," and canceling a planned battery‑electric version of the Ram 1500.

Stellantis also introduced a new 6.7‑liter Cummins high‑output turbo diesel for the 2027 Ram Power Wagon, rated at 430 horsepower and 1,075 foot‑pounds of torque. The automaker’s shift back toward V‑8s follows a relaxation of federal fuel‑economy regulations under the Trump administration; Kuniskis said the rollback should help sales but that he was "going to do it anyway."
