Steve Carell Faces Shocking Twist in HBO's Rooster Sneak Peek

After one episode, Steve Carell’s Greg Russo is already in over his head in HBO’s Rooster. What began as a stopover in a quiet college town to talk about his detective novels and check in on his daughter Katie quickly turned messy: Katie’s husband Archie left her for a grad student, and she tossed one of Archie’s prized literary collections into the fireplace and may have inadvertently burned down the house.

Ahead of the second episode, a sneak peek finds Greg standing in Katie’s living room while she lounges on the couch with a Monster energy drink. Greg tells her the cops are waiting to speak with them; Katie, seemingly unbothered, says the case wouldn’t hold up in court and then accompanies him to the police department.

The episode streams on HBO Max Sunday, March 15. Rooster is the latest project from Bill Lawrence (Scrubs, Shrinking, Ted Lasso). The principal cast includes Carell, Phil Dunster and Charly Clive, with Danielle Deadwyler, Lauren Tsai and John C.
