Stranger Things Season 5 features an Under Armour logo anachronism
Collider reports that viewers spotted an anachronistic Under Armour logo on Holly Wheeler's shirt in Episode 7 of Stranger Things Season 5 as she pulls away from the Pain Tree.
When Episode 7 aired on December 25, 2025, eagle-eyed viewers noticed the sleeve of Holly's black shirt showed a white Under Armour logo; the brand was not established until 1996, while Season 5 is set in the fall of 1987. The piece notes the error joins other high-profile on-screen mistakes, recalling the Game of Thrones Season 8 incident in which actor Conleth Hill later admitted to leaving a Starbucks cup in a scene.
The report also highlights earlier Stranger Things timeline slips, such as a Season 3 scene using Cutting Crew's "Died In Your Arms," released in summer 1986, despite the scene taking place in 1985, and other small anachronisms fans have flagged. While the storytelling and series conclusion remain intact, the Under Armour detail may become another notable production oversight; Seasons 1–5 of Stranger Things are available to stream on Netflix in the U.S.
