'Stranger Things: Tales From '85' First 2 Episodes Screening in Theaters

Netflix will screen the first two episodes of the animated Stranger Things: Tales From '85 in select AMC Theatres across the country on Apr. 18, with showings at 12 P.M. and 3 P.M. in respective time zones. The series does not officially debut on Netflix until Apr.

23. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, March 18 at 8 A.M. PT, and attendees will receive an exclusive collectible while supplies last. The episodes will play in 34 theaters nationwide, as well as at the Paris Theater in New York and Netflix House Philadelphia; the full list is available on the AMC Theatres website.

Netflix previously screened the Stranger Things series finale in select cinemas, a rollout that used seat reservations and concession vouchers rather than traditional movie ticketing. Tales From '85 is the first animated spin-off, and its performance could shape the franchise's future.
