Stranger Things: The First Shadow to Stream on Netflix

Netflix plans to debut Stranger Things: The First Shadow, a professional recording of the Broadway play, on its streaming service.

Many viewers were left disappointed by the series finale because it did not fully explore Vecna’s origins. The stage production has revealed much about Henry Creel’s tragic past, and the recorded performance will bring that story to a wider audience rather than limiting it to Broadwaygoers.

The filmed version will feature the Broadway cast, including Louis McCartney as Henry Creel, T.R. Knight as Victor Creel, Gabrielle Nevaeh as Patty Newby, and Alex Breaux as Dr. Brenner. There is no release date yet.

Stranger Things is a supernatural action-drama set in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana. When a young boy goes missing, his friends discover a girl with telekinetic powers who escaped a mysterious facility and may be their only chance to stop an impending threat.
