Strapsicle unveiled a new iPad mini case at CES 2026 that it says features built-in silicone straps intended to make prolonged holding and reading more comfortable.

The company, known for silicone e-reader straps for devices such as Kindle and Kobo, detailed key features including built-in straps for one- or two-handed use, a detachable cover, a removable Apple Pencil strap, and interchangeable straps for mixing colors. Strapsicle said the design aims to provide pen-hand support, neutral hand and wrist posture, and low muscle load.

In its press release, Strapsicle noted an estimated 55 million-plus Americans suffer chronic pain from mobility issues or ailments such as arthritis, which can make holding tablets difficult for some users. The brand also cited its history with e-reader accessories, including an Editors' Choice award in April 2025.

Co-founder Ben Stainlay was quoted in the CES release saying the case feels “like a natural extension of your hands” and addresses extended holding that the iPad mini’s original design did not prioritize. Strapsicle said the iPad mini case will go on sale through retailers worldwide on July 1, 2026, for $70, and an iPad Air 11 case is planned for 2026.
