Stream Guy Ritchie and Jason Statham's 'Snatch' Free
Guy Ritchie and Jason Statham's collaboration stretches back to their feature debuts in Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels in 1998 and has lasted almost 30 years. Their second major pairing came in 2000 with Snatch, which is now set to stream for free. Ritchie wrote and directed Snatch, with Statham co-leading as Turkish and Stephen Graham as Tommy.
The film's large supporting cast includes Benicio del Toro, Dennis Farina, Lennie James, Ewen Bremner, Vinnie Jones, Alan Ford and Brad Pitt. Turkish and Tommy run an underground boxing operation, but their latest fighter, the bare-knuckle boxer Mickey (Pitt), resists taking dives; meanwhile a London diamond heist upends the betting scene.
Fans and critics still debate whether Snatch or Lock, Stock is Ritchie's best work. Lock, Stock often feels freer and more original, while Snatch is viewed as a more refined final product; many people's preference simply comes down to which film they saw first.
