Pcgamer reports that LABS Works, the studio behind Astalon: Tears of the Earth, has a new game called Lovish due next month.

The article says Astalon looks like an orthodox 8-bit platformer on the surface but was one of the author's favourite modern metroidvanias, praised for class-based combat, engrossing exploration, deep secrets and pixel art; the author wrote that it outshone other 2021 metroidvania releases such as Axiom Verge 2 and Ender Lilies.

Lovish is not a metroidvania but a single-screen platformer mixing simple Astalon-style combat with puzzles, and was originally meant to release this time last year. A release-date trailer lists Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox Series XS and PC as platforms, and beyond the trailer the article gives no specific day for the next-month release.
