Subnautica 2 chief accuses Krafton of undermining May release
The twisting tale of Krafton, Unknown Worlds, and Subnautica 2 has taken a hard left turn: Krafton acquired Unknown Worlds, ousted its leaders amid a fight over a $250 million payout, and a judge later found Krafton had tried to avoid paying that bonus. Ted Gill has been restored as CEO, former leaders Charlie Cleveland and Max McGuire may return, and the earnout deadline was extended to September 15.
The day after the ruling, Krafton announced Subnautica 2 would enter early access in May.
