Supergirl Enlists Batman v. Superman Composer Junkie XL
Tom Holkenborg, known professionally as Junkie XL, will score Supergirl, replacing Ramin Djawadi, who had previously been attached to the film. The movie is directed by Craig Gillespie and centers on Kara Zor-El / Supergirl, played by Milly Alcock. Junkie XL collaborated with Hans Zimmer on the score for Batman v.
Superman: Dawn of Justice and worked on Justice League before being replaced by Danny Elfman; he was later brought back to score Zack Snyder's Justice League from scratch. He also wrote the scores for both of Zack Snyder's Rebel Moon movies. Ramin Djawadi’s credits include Game of Thrones, Westworld, Fallout, 3 Body Problem and the recent Mercy, making him a high-profile choice before the change.
Beyond Alcock, the cast includes Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham and Jason Momoa as Lobo; Momoa has ties to both the Game of Thrones universe and Zack Snyder's old DCU.
