Supreme Court declines to allow copyright for AI-generated images

The US Supreme Court has declined to hear a challenge to the US Copyright Office's position that purely AI-generated images cannot be copyrighted.

Computer scientist Dr. Stephen Thaler brought the case after years of seeking copyright protection for an AI-generated image titled "A Recent Entrance to Paradise."

Because the court refused to hear the appeal, the image remains uncopyrighted and is displayed above.
