Supriya Ganesh: Mohan's Panic Attack Marks Season 2 Shift
As The Pitt moves into the final third of Season 2, Episode 10, "4:00 P.M.", throws Dr. Samira Mohan (Supriya Ganesh) into an intense moment amid a Fourth of July shift made worse by a hospital network being taken offline and rising temperatures. The hour, directed by Damian Marcano and written by Simran Baidwan, gives little room for respite and shows how quickly pressure can mount when colleagues are stretched thin and Dr.
Robby (Noah Wyle) is unable to offer much sympathy. Ganesh said the panic attack sequence was largely filmed sequentially, with only a small portion shot out of order for logistical reasons. She emphasized the physical demands of the scene—especially the breathing work—and the research she did to incorporate a range of real experiences, including hand clenching and unclenching.
An intimacy coordinator was on set even for the patient sequence to help monitor timing and ensure Ganesh did not overdo the physicality during takes.
