Surviving Earth to premiere June 4 at 8 p.m. ET/PT
Surviving Earth, an eight-part documentary event, premieres Thursday, June 4, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The series promises to bring the planet’s most dramatic tales of survival to television this summer. Viewers are transported millions of years into the past through cutting-edge CGI and visual effects that recreate ancient landscapes and the strange creatures that once ruled the planet.
The show traces how life fought to survive during extreme upheavals, from meteor impacts that darkened the skies to volcanic eruptions that reshaped continents. Episodes spotlight creatures ranging from giant sea scorpions of 450 million years ago to mammoths and sabertooths of 450,000 years ago, illustrating how life not only survived but thrived.
Each hour-long installment lets audiences traverse these striking landscapes from the comfort of their couch. New episodes air Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT, with episodes available to stream the next day on Peacock. Episodes are followed by encore airings of The Americas at 9 p.m.
