Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, 35, of Orlando, Fla., was charged with attempted murder on Tuesday after police said she fired several rounds at a Los Angeles mansion belonging to the pop star Rihanna. No one was injured in the attack. Prosecutors filed 14 felony counts, including multiple counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and shooting at an inhabited dwelling or camper.

Ms. Ortiz is being held on $1.9 million bail and faces up to life in prison if convicted; her arraignment is scheduled for March 25. District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman said investigators allege Ms. Ortiz drove up to the property on Sunday and fired multiple times while Rihanna, her partner, ASAP Rocky, their three children, Rihanna’s mother and two staff members were on site.

"Opening fire in any populated neighborhood is extremely dangerous, puts lives at risk and will be fully prosecuted," Mr. Hochman said. He added that Ms. Ortiz is also accused of firing at a neighboring residence that housed two people.
