Sweetness turns teenage fandom into a Misery-style nightmare

Emma Higgins' Sweetness arrives on digital and on-demand February 13, 2026. The horror thriller channels Misery while centering a teenager's dangerous celebrity obsession, led by Kate Hallett, Herman Tømmeraas and Aya Furukawa. An exclusive sneak peek follows teenagers Rylee (Hallett) and Sidney (Furukawa) as they pour out of a stadium after a Payton Adler (Tømmeraas) concert.

Rylee slips away from her friend, spots a cracked door near the merch table, and watches Payton locked in a tense conversation; when the singer’s manager notices her, she runs and the clip cuts out. A released trailer fills in the aftermath: Payton hits Rylee with his car, but she survives and the two form an unlikely friendship.

After discovering Payton’s crippling addiction, Rylee kidnaps him and holds him in her home in an attempt to force him toward sobriety. The ensemble also includes Justin Chatwin, Steven Ogg, Amanda Brugel and Julius Cho among others.
