Sydney Sweeney missing from ‘Euphoria’ cast photo in wake of Zendaya feud speculation

HBO Max released a short teaser Wednesday for Euphoria’s third season, out April 12, with behind-the-scenes footage of the cast. At the start of the clip, Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Alexa Demie and Maude Apatow are seen laughing and posing together for a photo shoot, while Sydney Sweeney is noticeably absent.

Jacob Elordi appears briefly, and Sweeney does show up later in a solo shot of her smiling. In November 2025, stories said Sweeney and Zendaya were locked in a bitter feud over differing political views. Sweeney is a registered Republican and drew controversy for her American Eagle denim campaign, which some critics accused of being Nazi propaganda with racist undertones.

Those accounts added that Zendaya refused to do press with Sweeney and would not stand next to her at events.
