T-Mobile launches Better Value family plan starting at $140 for three lines
T-Mobile has introduced a new Better Value family plan, available now, that starts at $140 a month for three lines. T-Mobile says the plan will save customers more than $1,000 a year compared with similar plans from Verizon and AT&T, citing included perks such as Netflix and Hulu, satellite connectivity, scam protection and a five-year price lock.
The $140-per-month price is a limited-time offer; T-Mobile says the regular rate for the plan will be $155 a month for three lines. To receive the $140 price customers must enroll in AutoPay, otherwise an extra $5 per month per line applies. The price excludes taxes, surcharges and fees, including a device connection charge of up to $35 per line.
Features T-Mobile lists for the Better Value plan include a five-year price guarantee, a phone upgrade every two years with the same deals offered to new customers, T-Satellite, unlimited premium data and unlimited mobile hotspot. The plan also includes Netflix Standard with Ads and Hulu with Ads; Apple TV is available for an extra $3 a month (regular price stated as $13 a month).
The plan supports up to 4K UHD streaming, watch and tablet lines for an extra $5 a month, and international allowances such as unlimited text and 30GB of high-speed data in Canada and Mexico and up to 30GB of high-speed data (then unlimited at up to 256Kbps) in over 215 countries.
