A few times each year, Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta hosts major events on consecutive nights, forcing crews to transform the venue in less than 18 hours. They strip and repaint the field, clear confetti, clean 2 million square feet of stadium space, and prep food for tens of thousands of people.

Cleanup begins as soon as the final whistle blows. Teams collect roughly 5 million pieces of confetti with rakes, leaf blowers, and utility vehicles fitted with large nets, while P-Rex machines spray cleaning solution, scrub painted logos and end zones with spinning brushes, and vacuum away the paint.

The paint-removal step takes about one to two hours; once the turf dries, crews use large stencils and spraying machines to paint the center logo and end zones, finishing painting by midnight. Across the stadium, workers hand-pick cans, bottles, food containers, and pom-poms, then pressure-wash spills and sticky residue.
