Nbc reports Season 2 of Happy's Place saw Takoda (Tokala Black Elk), the Knoxville tavern's soft-spoken server, reveal he fronts a death metal band after co-owner Isabella hired his group, Sunburst, as a last-minute replacement.

A local bluegrass act pulled out, prompting Isabella to scramble; Takoda then disclosed Sunburst was a band formed with other dads from his child's preschool and named after the flower. Steve had told Takoda he enjoyed a past show to avoid hurting his feelings, but later warned Isabella that the band's "style" was death metal and that they'd once been ejected from a biker bar. After watching a feedback-heavy performance video and learning Takoda's elderly mother would attend, Isabella recruited the band's small YouTube subscriber base to fill the tavern.

Sunburst performed in full death-metal regalia and, according to the episode, "tore the house down," blowing the crowd away. Episodes air Fridays at 8/7c and stream the next day on Peacock.
