Tara Lipinski and Johnny Weir tease Rob Rausch with matching Birkins

Tara Lipinski and Johnny Weir teased their Traitors co-stars Maura Higgins and Rob Rausch by showing off matching, rare Hermès Birkin bags on a recent episode of “Chicks in the Office.” They explained that Weir persuaded Lipinski to make the purchase years before the Peacock cast members exchanged Birkins.

Weir recalled heading to the Ginza Hermès store during the Tokyo 2020 Olympics to pick up a purse and bringing his bestie along. Lipinski said, "This is too much of a purchase. It was overwhelming," but the VIP experience convinced her to match; Weir, a longtime collector, called them “besties for the resties” matching Birkins.

He added that he was shopping for a limited-edition cream hue: “My guy was able to source [another] one. There were like six of this color in the whole country,” and described the bags as an investment: “it’s like, the one thing I understand as far as an investment is concerned.
