Tate McRae and Jack Hughes confirm relationship after rumors

After months of speculation, Tate McRae and Olympic hockey player Jack Hughes are officially dating. “Tate and Jack are dating,” a source said, adding they “started casually seeing each other late last year” and “are exclusively seeing each other.” McRae is 22 and Hughes is 24.

The pair reportedly connected after Hughes “initially messaged her on IG and started a conversation.” They were first linked in December 2025 when McRae attended one of Hughes’ games at Newark’s Prudential Center, and the two were later seen together in New York City.

McRae has been described as supportive of Hughes’ career, enjoying going to games and cheering him on. They are balancing busy schedules for now and hope for more time together next month when his season ends; Hughes recently scored the overtime goal that secured Team USA the Olympic gold medal and was drafted first overall by the New Jersey Devils in 2019.
