Taylor Frankie Paul feared release of domestic violence video

Taylor Frankie Paul lived in fear for years that a 2023 video taken on Dakota Mortensen's cellphone would be released. TMZ obtained and published footage that shows Paul screaming at and attacking Mortensen at home while one of her children was present. The clip shows Mortensen throwing metal barstools across the room toward Paul and repeatedly warning that her daughter, Indy — who was 5 at the time — was close by on the couch.

Indy can be heard crying after apparently being struck; Mortensen later says, "Your daughter just got hit in the head with a metal chair." Officers arrived after Mortensen professed his "love" for Paul’s kids and accused her of being "drunk." Paul told police Mortensen started the altercation, alleging he threw her to the ground before he began recording.

She was arrested and faced charges including one felony count of aggravated assault, two felony counts of domestic violence in the presence of a child (causing injury), one misdemeanor count of child abuse and one misdemeanor count of criminal mischief.
