Taylor Frankie Paul season shelved; contestants react

ABC announced it would not move forward with Season 22 of The Bachelorette after video from 2023 surfaced showing Taylor Frankie Paul in a physical altercation with her ex, Dakota Mortensen. The footage shows Paul becoming physically aggressive and throwing chairs while her young daughter, Indy, sat in the room; Mortensen can be heard saying, "Your daughter just got hit in the head with a metal chair," as the then-5-year-old cried.

The network said in a statement, "In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of 'The Bachelorette' at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family." Contestants on Paul’s season reacted on social media.
