Taylor Frankie Paul says 'I'm struggling' amid dispute with Dakota Mortensen

Taylor Frankie Paul broke her silence about an alleged domestic incident with ex Dakota Mortensen, calling the timing painful and saying, "I'm struggling." She said during a press preview for The Bachelorette that "my heart hurts to see it, to go through it, especially at this time," adding the timing was "hard" and "a big deal." Paul added she has never fully enjoyed a premiere and that it took everything to get her to the event.

Despite calling the period "heavy" and "unfortunate," she said she felt she had to show up so she wouldn't give away opportunities and could still embrace her upcoming role as The Bachelorette, which premieres Sunday. When offered the job on season 22 her "yes" was "immediate," with the only condition being that she could see her children.

She described the experience as a way to get "out of my toxicity of a life in Utah and bubble" and called it "the best thing [she] could have done," saying the men on the show "made me feel reassured" and helped restore her sense of value.
