Taylor Sheridan’s TV franchise, once a near-constant chart-topper, is showing signs of cooling. As of March 6, Marshals sits at No. 5 and Landman at No. 9 on Paramount+’s U.S. TV chart — respectable but not the kind of dominance Sheridan’s launches have often enjoyed.

Marshals reunites Luke Grimes with Kayce Dutton, now working in an elite U.S. Marshals unit, and stars Logan Marshall-Green as Pete Calvin, Arielle Kebbel as Belle Skinner, Ash Santos as Andrea Cruz and Tatanka Means as Miles Kittle. Brecken Merrill returns as Tate Dutton, with Gil Birmingham and Mo Brings Plenty in supporting roles.

Early reviews have been mixed. Rotten Tomatoes lists the series at 47% from 15 critic reviews and a 41% audience score from more than 100 ratings, a noticeably shakier launch than initial impressions suggested. Reviewer Michael John Petty wrote that Marshals smartly avoids trying to be a straight Yellowstone sequel, shifting into a CBS-friendly procedural that gives Kayce a new beginning despite some growing pains.
