Nbc reports that American speed skater Jordan Stolz, 21, is heading to his second Olympics at the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics after four years of setting records and winning golds on the World Cup circuit as he pursues his first Olympic gold. A native of West Bend, Wisconsin, Stolz was inspired to try speed skating after watching Apolo Anton Ohno at the 2010 Vancouver games when he was five.

By age nine his parents began homeschooling him so he could spend more time on the track, and half a decade later he was a senior national champion. In 2021 he stepped onto the international stage, setting track records in the 500m and 1000m at the 2021 Olympic trials and breaking benchmarks set by Shani Davis nearly two decades earlier, then competed at Beijing in 2022, finishing 13th in the 500m and 14th in the 1000m.
