Ten red cards in one season: Chelsea's worst dismissals of 2025-26
Chelsea's disciplinary problems have become a major issue this season, highlighted when Pedro Neto's red card against Arsenal became the club's tenth dismissal in all competitions. Nine players and former head coach Enzo Maresca have been sent off, exposing a lack of experienced heads within the youngest squad in the Premier League during the BlueCo era and complicating efforts to keep a full complement of players at Stamford Bridge.
Liam Rosenior admitted the situation was unacceptable and said he needed to speak to the coaching staff, the staff around the club and the players. He noted the club's record had not been great from the start of the season and that, after a run of 10 games without these issues while he was in charge, Chelsea had now seen two sendings-off in two games.
"There's something deep-lying that we need to get to the bottom of," he added. The ten dismissals were ranked by order of their stupidity, and several stand out.
