Tesla unveils cheaper Cybertruck starting at $59,990
Tesla is offering a lower-priced Cybertruck that it calls its "most affordable Cybertruck yet," with a starting price of $59,990. The company lists the new model as a Dual Motor AWD with an estimated 325 miles of range, a powered tonneau cover, and bed outlets (2x 120V and 1x 240V).
The move is part of Tesla's effort to reposition the vehicle toward more practical, working‑truck buyers. Even so, at about $60,000 the Cybertruck remains a premium option compared with the Ford F‑150, which starts at $39,330. The cheaper model trims capability and interior features: towing capacity is listed at 7,500 pounds, down from 11,000 for the Premium All‑Wheel Drive and Cyberbeast versions.
Heated seats are provided only in the first row and the seats are textile rather than the premium interiors offered on higher trims. Musk once described the truck as "apocalypse‑proof," but the Cybertruck has faced recalls over issues with its rearview camera, windshield wiper, and reports of jammed accelerator pedals.
