Tesla slashes Cybertruck prices as it tries to move (unpainted) metal
Tesla cut Cybertruck prices last night, including a $15,000 reduction for the tri-motor “Cyberbeast,” which now starts at $99,990 after the removal of previously included items such as supercharging and FSD. The company also introduced a new $59,990 entry-level dual-motor model with a 325-mile (523 km) range and the same 0–60 mph time of 4.1 seconds (0–97 km/h) as the $79,990 premium all-wheel-drive version.
That makes the new entry-level model a strong value within the lineup: Tesla had briefly offered a single-motor rear-wheel-drive variant last year at $69,990 before discontinuing it, so buyers now get an extra motor for $10,000 less than that earlier price, and slightly less than the RWD truck’s original advertised cost.
To reach the lower price, Tesla reduced towing capacity from 11,000 lbs (4,990 kg) to 7,000 lbs (3,175 kg) and cut cargo capacity from 2,500 lbs (1,134 kg) to 2,006 lbs (910 kg).
