The Boys season 5 trailer teases Homelander's bid for immortality

Season 4 ended with Homelander fully ascendant after taking control of Vought International and the United States through a scheme with Sister Sage. The new trailer shows him pursuing immortality, seeking a dose of V‑One — the serum that granted Stormfront, Soldier Boy and Thomas Godolkin immense power and longevity.

The motive is underscored by his fear of aging in season 4, when he even collected his own gray pubic hair. To secure that future, Homelander thaws Soldier Boy from cryostasis and stages a family reunion. Soldier Boy is presented as Homelander's father, though Homelander was created from a sperm sample without Soldier Boy's knowledge, and the reunion is risky because Soldier Boy can remove another Supe’s powers.

Opposing him, Billy Butcher leads The Boys in a plan to deploy the Supe‑killing virus developed by Godolkin University dean Indira Shetty in the spinoff Gen V. Using it against Homelander would also kill Butcher and several allies, including Starlight, A‑Train and Kimiko.
