The Duskbloods still scheduled for Switch 2 in 2026
It's been months since substantial news about The Duskbloods, FromSoftware's Switch 2 exclusive, and the game was absent from a recent partner-focused Nintendo Direct. During an earnings call, Kadokawa placed The Duskbloods on a slide of "eagerly awaited" new games and listed it as due in 2026.
When pressed for more detail, the company offered no further specifics, leaving the release window and any upcoming reveals unclear.
What little has been revealed points to a gothic-leaning vampire story: vampiric figures known as Bloodsworn, humanity nearly wiped out, and a central conceit of superpowered vampiric combat. The developer has signalled an emphasis on both PvP and PvE.
The Duskbloods is FromSoftware's first Nintendo exclusive since Lost Kingdoms 2 in 2003. For now the project remains on course for 2026, though when players will see more is still unknown.
