'The Incredibles 3' Lands 2028 Release Date From Disney & Pixar

Disney and Pixar have set an official release date for The Incredibles 3: June 16, 2028. New Disney CEO Josh D'Amaro announced the date on a shareholder call.

Peter Sohn will direct the film; he also directed 2023's Elemental. It will be the first movie in the franchise not led by Brad Bird, who is writing the script and is expected to reprise his role as Edna Mode.

Story details remain under wraps, though Holly Hunter said recording was expected to begin for her sometime in March 2026.

The original The Incredibles grossed over $630 million in 2004, and Incredibles 2 earned over $1.2 billion in 2018. The new sequel joins a slate of original Pixar projects that includes Toy Story 5, a second Coco, and a third Monsters, Inc.
